Name numerology is a traditional practice of assigning numerical values to the letters of a name and reading those values as patterns of character and expression. According to traditional numerology, each letter carries a vibration, and the total of those vibrations is said to describe how a person moves through the world.
It is a cultural and spiritual practice rather than a scientific one, and the results here are offered for reflection and curiosity.
Each letter of the name is converted into a number using a fixed table. In the Chaldean system letters take values from 1 to 8; in the Pythagorean system they take values from 1 to 9. The values are added together to form a compound number, which is then reduced by adding its digits until a single digit remains — with 11, 22 and 33 traditionally preserved as master numbers.
The Destiny or Expression Number uses every letter of the name. According to traditional numerology, it describes overall direction, natural abilities and the way a person tends to express themselves over the course of life.
The Personality Number uses only the consonants. It is traditionally read as the outer impression — the side of you that people notice first, before they know you well.
The Soul Urge or Heart's Desire Number uses only the vowels. In traditional readings it points to inner motivation: what quietly drives your choices and what feels emotionally satisfying to you.
Some numerology practitioners consider name correction when the Destiny Number of a name and the Birth Number are treated as incompatible. This is a traditional viewpoint, not a requirement.
